Phil Neilson
CEO

Phil has over 15 years working in health and social care, covering home care, specialist care, extra care, supported living, complex and residential care. Working with some of the UKs largest social care providers Phil has been the driving force behind development and adoption of an integrated digital care management platform.

Phil started AVERio with a clear goal in mind, provide a way for social care to deliver more informed care, prevent reoccurring issues, and improve the use of data in care planning and pathways.

Mat Bailey
CTO

Mat started his career in health and social care in 2008 as a first line I.T. service desk technician supporting a national network of care at home branches. He quickly progressed to the systems implementation team working on-site with care managers and branch staff to help their transition to new digital technologies.

Mat then moved to a senior application support & data analytics role for the UK’s largest provider of domiciliary care, helping to deliver solutions for complex business problems and shape application interoperability through design and business process engineering.

Mat joined AVERio with a vision to solve the gap in the technology enabled care space to deliver a high performance robust, integrated application that’s easy to use and adopt.

John Kirk
Non Executive Director - Operations

A prominent figure in the UK care sector, John brings a wealth of experience, having held senior positions for some of the country’s largest care providers (Allied Healthcare Group, Care Delivery Director, Four Seasons Health Care, Managing Director, HC-One, Managing Director & Balhousie Care Group, Deputy CEO) and serving for over a decade as an Executive Director and Vice Chair at Scottish Care, the voice of the independent care sector in Scotland.

John, an expert in operations, growth and acquisition brings an exemplary record of senior leadership across the domiciliary and care home sectors in the UK. John is an advocate for improving and reforming social care for the better at both local and national government level, so that users of care, its workforce and providers can continue to provide high quality kind care now and into the future.

Nick Goodban
Non Executive Director - Finance

Nick has been working in healthcare for over 12 years, covering all aspects of socially and privately funded community care, NHS insourcing and supply-chain partnerships and medical appliance development, manufacturing and distribution. Nick is a qualified chartered accountant having held senior executive positions at City & County Healthcare and Independence Products Limited for the last decade.

With more than 10 year’s experience working in the social care sector, Nick is acutely aware of the various challenges faced by sector operators, funders and most importantly consumers in delivering effective, reliable, safe, and sustainable models of care. Technology backed solutions are the only viable way of achieving those aims and for that reason Nick is joining AVERio in a Non-Executive capacity to support in maximising the potential of their service offerings.”
